A simpler way to create your own space.

Ecohatch Australia was created around a simple idea: adding a great studio or workspace to a rural property shouldn’t have to become another building project.

We take the strong, transportable structure of a new 20-foot high-cube shipping container and transform it into a comfortable, beautifully finished space for art, music, work, hobbies and creativity.

The important difference is that the work happens before your Ecohatch arrives.

Your studio is converted and fitted out in Australia — insulated, lined, glazed, wired and finished off-site — then delivered to your property as a complete unit.

No flat-pack. No weeks of construction on your property. Just a finished space, ready to make your own.

Designed for country properties.

Ecohatch is based in Marysville, Victoria, and our focus is deliberately on rural and regional properties.

Country properties generally offer the space and access that make a completed, transportable studio particularly practical. Instead of bringing materials, builders and multiple trades to the site, we bring the finished space.

Whether it sits beside a country home, overlooking a paddock, near a workshop or somewhere more secluded on the property, an Ecohatch can create useful extra space without changing the way you live while it is being built.

Quality you can see.

We don’t see an Ecohatch as a converted shipping container. We see the container as the starting point for a well-designed room.

Each Ecohatch is carefully fitted out using materials selected for durability, comfort and appearance. The standard design provides a bright, insulated interior with a large glazed entry, quality internal finishes and a practical electrical fit-out.

Because the conversion is completed off-site, we can control the build process and inspect the finished result before it is delivered.

The result is intended to feel like a proper space, not a temporary building or an unfinished shell.

Standard where it makes sense. Flexible where it matters.

We have deliberately developed Ecohatch around a well-considered standard build.

Standardising the important parts helps us maintain quality, simplify construction and keep costs contained. From there, customers can choose options to suit how they want to use their space — whether that means storage, different finishes, acoustic treatments or solar and battery power for an off-grid location.

It’s a straightforward approach:

Start with a proven Ecohatch. Add what you need. Leave out what you don’t.

Built off-site. Delivered complete. Ready to use.

That is what Ecohatch is all about.

A high-quality, prefabricated studio without turning your property into a construction site.

A dedicated place to paint, play music, work, make things or simply have some space of your own.

Made for rural and regional living.
